JAMES CHRISTOPHER JENNION
James started Out of London in August 2019. He came to London in 2018 to participate in the Speaker's Parliamentary Placement Scheme, which attempts to widen access to Parliament by offering paid internships in MPs' offices. He continues to work in Parliament advising on foreign policy. James is also a Trustee of The Equality Trust, which campaigns to reduce socioeconomic inequality in the UK, and on the committee of ParliON, Parliament's social mobility network.
JULIA FAUSING SMITH
Julia is a communications professional with diverse experience in nonprofits and social enterprises working in international development and workplace diversity and inclusion. She has a BA in International Relations from the University of Leeds, during which she studied abroad in Beijing, Copenhagen and Pristina and an MSc in Gender, Media and Culture from LSE. She currently works in communications for a political advocacy and campaigning organisation working in global mental health.
Fundraising & Partnerships Lead
Steph is the Business Development & Operations Lead at Out of London. She works in product strategy and marketing for American Express, where she also founded a UK colleague network to provide development and networking opportunities to those at the early stages of their career. Steph graduated from the University of Exeter with a BA in Politics and has a keen interest in educational equality and equality of opportunity.
